1 - The Home of The Organic Gardener goes social

Welcome to this new Home for the Organic Gardener.

I've been busy connecting up with people all over, but now you can join me because I've got something special to tell you.

Would you agree that there's a massive difference between the perception of gardening and the doing? Promotions by commercial horticulture make organic gardening seem impossible.

But what is the real cost of commercials in gardening? For one thing quick fixes mean that no one really gardens anymore. I don't call that a commercial success but there it is.

Don't worry if you are one of the don't knows. I've spent many years on a creative and organic approach to gardening. This has enabled me to devise new methods to get around all those problems that people who don't know worry about.

The organic gardening benefits that you may have heard about are really waiting for you when you do your garden right. I've said many times before - organic gardening is intelligent gardening. (Pesticides are a no brainer for sure, but really it's better to have more brains.)

First, you have to realise that organic involves a radically different way of thinking. To help you understand this philosophy as well as to meet up with similar minds I've created a new place.

Here you'll get the message straight from the organic gardener and from my friends. I'm confident that you'll learn a whole new approach and develop more gardening ideas. So do join us.

Discover how and why organic gardening is such a radically different approach to the conventional. It's so different that ordinary gardeners and passers by haven't a clue.

Realise the benefits of health, taste, resource costs etc... and find out what really can be done without the commercial approach.

Start a new journey today. Join me and my friends on my new Facebook Page. My new group Social At The Organic Gardener starts soon.

This is an exclusive invite just now, as only a few people know this page is there. Check back soon. You will be welcome to join my new group Social At The Home Of The Organic Gardener.

I have a few friends who thrill me with their gardening exploits and knowledge. So I hope they will share their garden with you on these pages.

Find my new group Social At The Organic Gardener. Thank you.

2 - Take your rest now

My garden had a cold start, therefore a late start. But always, always, as the days lengthen, the pace of growth outstrips all effort to keep up with the sowing, weeding and planting jobs.

Now however, growth is paused. The lawn grass stops growing and where you leave it uncut it can be flowering. Anthoxanthum odorata (Sweet Vernal Grass) has a beautifully sweet smell. Some of you may even have a colorful carpet of low flowering plants in your lawn.

So now you have a chance to sit back and enjoy some of the effort you have put into your garden. It's a brief pause and if you still have any gaps to fill for the year ahead please see this section.

3 - Can't stop sowing and planting

You know whatever the set backs the best way to success is to continue sowing, planting and growing. The more you have on the grow the greater will be your success.

But if your plants have been ravaged by pests this year do take a look at these excellent pages for organic controls.
Pest control for American Gardeners.

The best of British For Organic Pest Control includes cages and nets.

Also check out the offers below for the things you may have forgotten to grow this year.

4 - Will you be too busy with harvesting to dig it ?

The rest will soon be over and my mind is already turning to dead heading flowers and picking all the plants that are growing.

When your garden is really thriving and diverse, then over the next few months you really won't be able to keep up with it - I don't mean the weeds no... I mean the harvest! Berries, bean pods, potatoes, salad leaves... and all those plants that need dead heading so as to produce more. Do keep up now...

If you want to grow more I recommend these links where you can get wholesale value.

Wholesale value for American Gardeners. Fill in the gaps with plants

For UK gardeners these are genuine offers of British grown plants. reduction available on this link

Back up for late summer it's not too late to fill in the gaps.

5 - Share your gardening ideas with friends on The Home of The Organic Gardener

You can add your own information to Home of The Organic Gardener - start with this link to find available invitations.

This is not designed as a typical forum for brief comments - although other visitors can comment on pages you make. These pages will let you introduce your own gardening methods and ideas to visitors of http://www.the-organic-gardener.com.

Why not introduce yourself, tell us where you are based, about your gardening conditions, and what you are growing. We don't mind hearing about gardening problems as well as gardening successes.

Let's make this a healthy gardening community where you can find and share important information to help your gardening online. I'll be adding invitations to more and more pages this year but to begin with here's a link to the existing invitations list to add your content.

6 - Grow your own website

Would you consider doing something even more rewarding?

...Because it's actually not difficult to build your own web site. Think of a topic you really enjoy.
Anything from:
"Grandma Spoils the Kids Here" to "Gardening in The Desert" or anything else that you might know about - my link gives you help to choose the really good ideas.

Now I want to recommend the place that made it all possible for The Home of The Organic Gardener. And not just any old thing, but a successful web site that works!

Perhaps you too can add extra income to your household while giving your know-how to the wider world. Might you even improve on my efforts? Find out how it works right here.
